This page contains information on the subreddit promotion policy. This policy is in place to help facilitate the conditions outlined under rule 6.

The policy outlined below went into effect on the above date. Any inquiries submitted under previous policies will not have a retroactive reconsideration unless the inquiry is resubmitted.
What Requires Approval?
All products, services, blogs, social media pages, YouTube channels, and outside communities require approval to be promoted on the subreddit feed if they are NOT one of the following:
previously approved as a recurring promotion by the moderator team.
listed on the subreddit sidebar (on mobile, this is located under the "About" menu).
educational content, composition, or recommendation (see rule 7 for more information).
To request approval, please read the criteria below and then fill out the Feedback & Inquiry form.
Screening Criteria
To qualify for review, promotions must meet ALL of the following screening criteria.
The promotion must be related to marching band, concert band, or instrumental music.
The user submitting the form must be creating the post on the subreddit (if approved).
The user submitting the form must clearly disclose if they are earning money from the promotion.
Note: Meeting the screening criteria does not guarantee approval.
All inquiries are thoroughly verified. If untruthful information is found, the request will be denied immediately and future requests from that user will be immediately denied.
Please note that should your request be approved, it would be a ONE-TIME approval unless otherwise directed.
Approval Criteria
We generally grant an approval for requests that fill out the form completely and meet the screening criteria. For those that do get denied, we explain why they were denied. Unless the reason for denial has to do with community citizenship, we also provide substantive suggestions with the end goal of an approval.
